From New York Times Bestselling Author, S.L. Scott, comes a hot new rock star romance that will sweep you off your feet and leave you with a smile.

The rumors are true. At least where I’m concerned.

Drummers hit it harder and do it better.

Women love me and I love them. But I like to think of myself as a sensitive soul trapped in a lady-killer’s body. Not so surprisingly, I’ve been called cocky a time or two. What can I say? We can’t all be boy scouts.

Nikki Faris has thrown off my rhythm. With her red lips, smart aleck mouth, short skirts, long legs, and blue-sky eyes, the beautiful lead singer has become a complete distraction on this tour.

She loves to give me a hard time when all I want to do is give her the pleasure of my hard—time right back.

Tulsa Crow can save his pick up lines, great eight-pack abs, and cute dimples to use on someone else. My band earned their spot on The Resistance’s tour just like The Crow Brothers. I’m not going to blow it getting sidetracked by a cocky rock star that wants to sleep his way through the states. I’ve been called a name or two, but easy isn’t one of them.

Nikki Faris is amazing.

Not only is she gorgeous, she’s also smart and strong. She says what she thinks, not worried about sharing her opinions or anyone judging her for them. She can defend the craziest ideas and has theories on everything from what she thinks jackfruit tastes like to why the stars always shine on the darkest nights.

Nikki Faris is mesmerizing.

Her lips.

Her eyes.

The way her head tilts back when she laughs at her own jokes. She’s adorably funny. Even the way she rolls her eyes is growing on me.

Nikki Faris is the sexiest woman I’ve ever spent time with, and I haven’t even slept with her.

Her denim skirt rides up really fucking high when she’s sitting. I don’t know whether I should cover her or encourage her to wiggle more. Every time she moves around on that barstool, my eyes dash between her blues and those bare legs. I’m so tempted to run my hand over the smooth skin of her thigh, but I resist because I’m just starting to earn her trust.

But then she leans over, resting her hand on my leg, the tips of her fingers dipping toward my cock, waking it up, and whispers, “I think you got me drunk, Crow.”

Chuckling, I reply, “You got yourself drunk, Faris.”

Suddenly, her free hand wanders into my hair. “Your hair is soft. No gel.” She drags the bridge of her nose along my neck, causing my dick to harden. “You smell so good. So manly. What cologne do you wear?”

“Soap and sweat, sweetheart.”

“Tulsa. Tulsa. Tulsa.” Leaning back to look me in the eyes, she confesses, “It shouldn’t, but that really turns me on.”

I laugh again and stop her hand from wandering higher on my leg. “You’re a horny drunk.”

“I am,” she replies, resting her head on my shoulder. “Have you ever heard the phrase sleeping with the enemy?”

“I have.” I touch her, not able to stop myself as I tuck those wild strands of hair behind her ear.

The bartender sets the tab down in front of me. Nikki reaches for it, but I grab it first. “My treat.”

“I have a feeling I’m going to be swearing your name in the morning.”

I do a double take. “You mean because of the alcohol, right?” While waiting for her to answer a question I already know the answer to, images of her swearing my name for other reasons cross my mind.

She doesn’t answer, which is probably best.

Living in the capital of Texas with her family, Scott loves traveling and avocados, beaches, and cooking with her kids. She’s obsessed with epic romances and loves a good plot twist. Her favorite color is blue, but she likens it more toward the sky than the emotion. Her home is filled with the welcoming symbol of the pineapple and finds surfing a challenge though she likes to think she’s a pro.

I would have been stupid to turn the opportunity down.
A feature film starring the hottest man in Hollywood—and me.
It wasn’t just the chance of a lifetime; it was the first time I’d landed the leading role.
But Tanner James isn’t just any actor, aka “Sex God”.
He’s the man who took my virginity then shattered my dreams.

If I can use this part to launch a new career, it will be worth it.
If I can stop myself from falling back into bed with Tanner, it will be a miracle.
And my heart?
There’s no way he’s taking that from me.
He’s always been the one who owned it.

2nd Blurb:

Ten years ago, we were the toast of the town.
Tanner’s acting career had just begun. He was hotter than the stage lights, and twice as captivating. The gorgeous Australian A-lister was everyone’s teenage dream. And he’d picked me. Or so I thought, until he proved to be as false as everything else about Hollywood. Now I’ve finally scored the perfect opportunity to star in a major film. The kicker? Tanner will be my co- star. I don’t know if I can do this one more time….

Right now, we’re the talk of the town.
Jenna’s even more beautiful than she was the last time we were together. And just like before, I can’t keep my hands off her. She still doesn’t know the truth. The secret of what really happened back then. Now I have the length of this shoot to convince her to rewrite our script. But if I have her one more time, will once ever be enough?

Second chance romance and a new Laurelin Paige book, boy, how did I get so lucky?

“Unprofessional and inappropriate category, Tanner” I snip, lashing out against the feeling in my chest that’s squeezing my heart. The feeling that despite all my big talk about professionalism, what I really want is to be lost in his arms, just one more time.

Set in good ol’ Tinsel Town, One More Time is a second chance romance with so much tension and chemistry it could knock the socks off anyone!

‘A tear slips down my face. I’m a mess inside with conflicting emotions from his latest confession. On the hand, he’s so dumb. The idea that I’d be better at anything without him is ludicrous’

Jenna and Tanner met when they were just kids, both living in the spotlight at a young age and then in time leaning on each other for support. Fast forward ten years and they haven’t been face-to-face since their split. She feels betrayed; the hostility she emits toward Tanner is palpable. But what does he expect knowing what she thinks she knows.

How many times can I remind myself that I wanted this? That I asked for—no, insisted on—it?

At least as many times as I’ve wished things were different today’

Jenna and Tanner attempt to come to some sort of compromise so that they are able to work together. The emotions that these two harbour for each other (both good and bad), affect every aspect of their day-to-day. The funniest piece of this book can be summed up with one word…Walter! Walter is Jenna’s best friend and he is so hilarious; loud and proud and totally committed to Jenna, and at times I wondered if he should be committed. Especially considering I know only too well he’ll glam up his straight jacket in no time at all. This author has the ability to weave events forward whilst ratcheting up the emotional impact on the poor reader. Blending colours together like a seasoned artist.

“I can’t read your mind, Jenna” he’d say. “You have to tell me how you feel, even if you’re afraid it’s going to make me mad. You’re safe with me. We’ll figure this out.”

He made me feel like I could take risks because he would be there to pick me up if I fell. And he always was—right until he wasn’t.

‘I love how I affect her. How I can make her shiver and moan and writhe. How I can make her use my name like it’s a curse and then like it’s a prayer. It does more for my ego than any award of public recognition could.’

This book is based in the same world as Hot Cop and Porn Star and I loved those two very, very much. How could anyone not? I just have to make comment on the cover to this delicious read. Whoever picked the models did a fantastic job and the way they look at each other sucked me in as quickly as the words inside did. This is as the blurb says; a ‘scorching, heart-tugging’ book. I couldn’t get enough!

“Today meant nothing,” I say. “Our past is in the past.”

“Totally in the past. But when I’m working with you…”

I feel myself inch closer to him. “… what?”

“Sometimes I can’t tell where we leave off and our characters begin.” Is he sitting nearer than he was a few seconds ago?

“I know. I feel the same way,” I confess, and then I’m definitely moving closer to him. Definitely staring at his lips. We’re like two magnets. Simply telling them to stay apart never stops the pull.

“But that’s the job, right?” he says, and his eyes are on my mouth now.

I nod. “We have to put everything aside and just focus on the work.”

“Right. Yes. I can do that.” He’s so close we’re almost touching. Then he reaches his hand out and places it on my thigh. I feel a chill run up my body, and I close my eyes. The warm, heavy feeling of his hand is so familiar and so exciting at once. “Can you do that?”

The honest answer is that I don’t know. I open my eyes and find him staring at me. I get lost in his stare. For a moment, we hesitate.

Then the next thing I know, my lips are pressed against his and his tongue is finding its way inside my mouth. I don’t know who started it, but neither of us can deny this is what we both want in this moment. Have wanted since this afternoon. Maybe since we first saw each other outside craft services two weeks ago.

He cradles my face between his hands and shifts me closer, as though afraid I’ll break our connection.

But I’m not going anywhere. I want more. I swing my leg over to straddle him, so I can press my hips into his pelvis. I groan when I feel how hard he is, groan with the need that’s already built up unbearably between my thighs. I rock back and forth, desperate. Only a few scraps of cloth stand between us, but they’re enough to frustrate me.

He stands up, me still astride him, then he tosses me onto my back in front of him. He kneels on the ground, and I’m lying on the couch of my trailer looking up at the ceiling, and a part of me is wondering how the hell this happened again. But a much louder part of me doesn’t want it to end before we’re both naked and screaming out all our unresolved anger in orgasm.

Before I have time to register what’s happening, I feel Tanner’s fingers creep up my thighs and under my panties. He plays with me, teasing before he plunges two fingers inside my body.

I gasp in surprise and delight.

This. This is what I need.

I let my thighs fall farther apart, giving him all the access he wants. Tanner dances and swirls his fingers around, first deep inside me and then up to brush my clit. I grip the couch, nearly paralyzed in anticipation. My legs begin to shake, and I can’t remember my own name anymore. All I can think about is how incredible this feels, and how, improbably, he’s become even more talented at touching a woman over the years. Holy shit.

I’ve never been fingered like this before.

He leaves one hand to work every centimeter of my clit then takes the other and dances it up and down the inside of my thighs until I’m crying out. His free hand covers my mouth, but that doesn’t help. It isn’t until he stills that I quiet, although my hips are still rocking greedily, trying to get what I want from his fingers.

“Sshh,” he says, “Someone might still be around.”

“I don’t care,” I moan, and, in the moment, I swear I don’t. Let everyone hear how glorious this is. Tanner grins as he presses his fingers back inside me, bending them and twisting them, showing off more moves that get my body pulsing and my pussy soaking wet.

I’m going to come. I’m so close. “Fuck, Tanner, yes…”

“Yes,” he growls, and that’s all it takes to send me flying over the edge into ecstasy.

… just as someone knocks on the trailer door.

Doppelbanger; A person who bangs someone solely because they look similar to another person they want to bang.

At thirty-five, Gina Bourque is still playing the field. If he’s single, in his early twenties with dark hair and brooding eyes, there’s a damn good chance you’ll find him in her little black book.

When Gina and Jeffrey meet while cruising the Caribbean, sparks fly and not in a good way. He’s too old. Too blond. Too stiff. Yet she’s still drawn to him like a moth to a flame. She’s too vulgar. Too sassy. Too wild. But she ignites something inside of him he can’t ignore.

Gina and Jeffrey, what a couple of people. Both have broken parts to them that can’t simply be glued back together.  Jeffrey is a widow raising his two girls and trying to survive a life without the woman he loved completely. Gina is a woman who doesn’t trust any man and is only willing to spend one night with a man. She can’t comprehend getting something as nasty as feelings all over her, oh no, she’s way above those stinky little things…or so she thinks.

‘I LOVE MEN. Young men. Ones who aren’t looking for anything more than a good time. Cuz I am nothing if not a good time.’

Whilst on a cruise, these two dramatic characters clash over a difference of opinion. Forced to spend time together, they become arousingly aware of each other and cannot put the breaks on their passionate trysts. No strings, no emotions, just good old-fashioned sex. His only rule is that his children don’t know what is going on. Jeffrey is guilt ridden and bereft. The way he reacts and feels through particular scenes on page resonate profoundly. He is so torn between the past and the here and now, and because of this makes so many blindingly obvious mistakes. He frustrated and angered me at times with how he treated Gina. She isn’t disposable or just a mere receptacle for his desires and lust, but yet at times that was all he attempted to feel for her, which to me was total bull and so beneath him. It isn’t Gina’s fault how he feels and yet he cheapens her and makes her feel wrong.

Gina, on the other hand, is such an honest person. She has her family and close friends she adores. So much hilarity in this book is between Gina, Spencer (her bestfriend) Cooper (Spencers husband) and their children. The children are part of most of the funniest scenes in this book. Children being children, saying what only innocent children can really get away with. Their innocence is so darn sweet, I was at true risk of sugar shock.

This book is chock full of emotional triggers and landmines that Gina and Jeffrey have to maneuver through. Their relationship changes so minutely that I’m sure neither wanted to admit that it wasn’t what they had initially planned out. Human beings are so fickle and yet make life so very hard for themselves.

‘…and her body melts into mine. I’m not sure what’s happening between us. All I know is that this feels too good to let it go.’

The sexy scenes in this book are hot enough to burn the fingers of any reader, and I was no exception. For his age, Jeffrey really does put a lot of younger men to shame if you know what I mean.

Doppelbanger, a title that peeked my interest even before reading the blurb; a romcom so good I finished it in nearly one sitting, darn sleep I wish I could go without when I have a great book made me ugly cry and sob my heart out. I didn’t even see the heartbreak coming until I was in the midst of it. Kindle in one hand and tissue in the other. I don’t often read romcoms as they aren’t usually by romance sub-genre of choice, but Doppelbanger was such a good read I would have been upset to miss out. The epilogue was a thing of beauty and for me the best part of this epic read. Thank you Ms Orgeron for such an amazing read, you did the characters so much justice and never stepped off the true path of the characters.

“[a] skillfully wrought tale of atonement in a frame of psychological suspense.”— Booklist

★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Reviewed by Anna Green on behalf of KFF

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I am totally blown away. A psychological drama set in Martha’s Vineyard with seemingly ordinary characters thrown into a moral dilemma.

There are three main characters in this story: Kat, Sean and Hunter. Kat and Sean are in a relationship and Hunter is their friend. Kat’s past defines her character. When that “incident” happened, her actions and her choice altered the dynamics of this trio’s relationship.

Sean has a teenage daughter from a previous relationship, lives in Martha’s Vineyard and the type who will never leave his hometown. He is forever linked to this place. He has been in a relationship with Kat for more than five years. He got to know her when she drifted into town and became his mother, Orla’s apprentice glass blower.

Hunter is the son of a powerful political figure, privileged but completely ignored by his father. He has undergone rehab for his overindulgent lifestyle. His friendship with Kat and Sean developed when he arrived in the island to keep a low profile and not draw attention to his father’s campaign in the upcoming elections.

Martha’s Vineyard the setting of this story plays a big role in this book. I love the author’s way of setting the mood of the book through the town’s quirky character, the locals and the events that followed. This author’s writing style is different than I am used to but it doesn’t mean that I didn’t like it, in fact I love it! She creates characters that are so empathetic. This tale is about self-preservation and redemption. It challenges your moral compass, makes you think deep and dig deep inside your heart. It made me question myself if I would have done the same, maybe or maybe not. I cannot tell you because you might judge me. One thing I can tell you is that you should read this book. Highly recommended!

[Sean] pulled a beer from its plastic ring and handed it to her. “So you’re better?”

The feeling she’d been avoiding was pushing up from her stomach now, constricting her windpipe and sending a flood of blood to her face. Kat wanted to fall into Sean. She wanted to just explain it all and unload some of that feeling onto him. She wasn’t better and she needed to tell him so. But that was the weaker option. As soon as he knew, he would have an opinion about how to move forward. He’d be a liability to this secret and a party to it. She pushed the feeling back down with a dry swallow.

Kat sat on the couch and took two sips of the beer, though she wanted to drink it all at once. It seemed like Sean was observing her as she drank. He was in search of a better answer for what was going on with her. Or maybe he wasn’t at all and she was just paranoid.

He sat beside her and opened his own beer.

Kat leaned in toward him. The cold outside air was still on his clothes and face, in his beard, which she liked as much as she could like anything at that moment. She kissed his cheek and he turned for her mouth.

It didn’t feel right to fake this, but Kat decided that she should probably take off her clothes. That’s what she normally would have done in such a situation, and she needed to behave as normally as possible.

“You smell like a campfire,” Sean said into her neck. The studio always gave her a whiff of char.

She smiled and pulled off her shirt. “You smell like you.”

They both undressed and then moved to the carpeted floor with slow and synchronized motions, followed by more frenzied ones, as always. Her head wasn’t in it, but nothing about Kat’s physical response to Sean would have indicated that. Everyone hit their marks and had their uncomplicated pleasures. Thank God. Their sex life had always been robust and satisfying; never too adventurous, but a steady and nourishing diet. It was a comfort to know she could get right into it without much trouble. This was all very normal behavior, normal enough to quiet any of Sean’s suspicions. The whole act made her feel like a liar, but she was glad to pull it off.

When they finished and dressed again, Sean kissed her head and went to the bedroom. Kat could hear him crawl under the down comforter. She would have preferred to be alone on that night, but saying so was not an option, so she joined him.

Sean murmured an “I love you,” grunted comfortably and fell quickly to sleep beside her.

Kat liked the warmth of his fuzzy back against hers. That feeling was real. Maybe this could work, she thought. Maybe Kyle’s body had disappeared forever, and she and Hunter could keep this secret, and they could go on with their lives as normal. Sure, there would be news about the disappearance of a local man, probably a search party and some media attention. But what did that have to do with any of them? Nothing at all. They didn’t even know Kyle Billings.

Kyle Billings. Kyle Billings. Kyle Billings. That was his name. He was a person who had existed and then stopped existing. Everyone on the island would know his name soon. Tragic story, what happened to that kid, they’d say. And Kat would just be one of those people who knew his name because she’d seen it on the news. She would shake her head and think of the family, just like everyone else. Nothing strange about that.
