People call me callous. Arrogant. Ruthless.

I call myself tenacious.

One of the most powerful attorneys in Charleston, I don’t let anyone or anything stand in my way.

Until a chance encounter changes everything.

One glance.

One touch.

One night.

It only leaves me wanting more.

But Grace is off limits. Most people would even say forbidden.

Everyone knows an attorney can’t sleep with his client.

Too bad I already did.

And even with the threat of losing everything, I don’t know if I can stop myself from having her again…

Having read Jace’s book where we came to know Ian, it became horrifically obvious that when his book finally hit the airwaves it would not be a comfortable read. And boy, was I not wrong about that one. A forbidden relationship knowing no bounds or restraint ‘All of Me’ is a book that comes around full circle. Fulfilling the answers that were never even asked of the characters, having witnessed the truly abhorrent way that Ian and Jace were raised, makes their bond impactful and necessary, as necessary as breathing. Without one there is no other and throughout all the stubbornness and guilt that is Ian, we see how solid the love and invisible cords that bind them are.

Grace is very much the kind of woman one has come to expect from this author. A woman, who is strong even as she is weak, is empowered as she is enslaved. Her family is her biggest joy and the creation of her life-sized nightmares. These nightmares are no monster under your childhood bed. They are not even stuff of the worst nightmares we could ever conceive, these devils, and monsters are wearing a mask of an angel who speaks of justice and truth. This is so false it just can’t be true. A long game so tangled and juxtaposed it is almost too wrong to believe. Friends in high places and debts owing that are called to arms in a bullish tactic of depravity.

‘…darts of anxiety impaling my senses. A warning to be careful. To take heed.
I felt as if I was being yanked in every direction.
My heart propelling me forward, and my rational side attempting to reel me back in.’

One seeker a hero and another who sees evil when they look in the mirror, shadows and tattoos of a battle of good versus evil, how could someone believe to their core that they are so wrong? Grace and Ian are two completely different people she believes when they are introduced. This is a complete fallacy. Ian uses everything in his arsenal in his pursuit of Grace, knowing there is something there that makes her intrinsically different from any other woman he has ever met. I sure wished he had had a crystal ball when he started filling his dance card with her would he have travelled the road he chose if he had known the cards Grace swaddled at her bosom.

‘This kiss that meant everything.
Kisses are only for the ones you love most.’

This author has a pattern to her books I have discovered. One that throws pretty much everything including the kitchen sink at her poor abused characters; ‘All of Me’ was a story of doubling down the pain and anguish. Throughout all the sharp edges, blood and pain a bond stronger than the strongest metal was created between Ian and Grace. Moving apart for them was as difficult to perform as you could ever imagine. Ian saw himself as the black knight, the evil-doer and the bottom feeder of the book. He knew he should stay away from Grace but if he had we’d not have held witness to one of the best-forbidden romances of the year.

‘Not an easy kind or a slow or a loyal kind. It wasn’t the kinda person settled for, and I knew, with every part of me, that it wouldn’t be fleeting.
It was the all-encompassing kind. The kind that hit you fast and came on hard and scored itself so deeply in your heart that it’d forever beat with it.’

The sex scenes were off the charts, creating a chart all for themselves. Intense even from the beginning of their foray, some pieces could have been accused of a certain amount of cheese factor, though there was cheese, I never felt it was fanciful nonsense it made a certain amount of sense.

‘He spread me wider, the feel of him almost more than I could bear.
So perfect and wrong.
The man my heaven.
The man my hell.
Everything I wanted, a tease of what I could never keep.’

Racing through the pages and asking more questions than I knew what to do with I found my heartbeat racing and my mind whirling. So much was on the line to the very end. Friends and family played a huge part in the conclusion of the angst in this one. I have never been as torn as I was when I witnessed someone slapped in cuffs. I sat in my chair with tears running down my face and an orange-sized lump in my throat. I cried often whilst reading, but I have never EVER had an actual lump in my throat. I could actually feel the sobs lodged in my chest.

Ms. Jackson creates stories with so much intensity. Angst and pain are always there too. She is a beautiful sadist whilst spinning her daily wears. This book has ruined me. Hand on heart this seldom happens to me, I tend to live the grief whilst reading the book and never carry it with me in my day-to-day life…until now. Bravo awesome author you and thank you so very much for doing Ian the justice he deserved. You rock!
